Happy summer all! I've been spending my afternoons this past month writing scripts, recording, and editing videos for a new series I call Learn Flute with Me, available on You Tube (for free, of course) right here.
This video series also breaks down into several mini-series:
Sub-Series 1: developing your embouchure, practicing air direction control, and learning to play the headjoint (level: beginner or brush-up)
Sub-Series 2: putting together your flute, building healhty posture and hand position, and playing your first song (level: beginner or brush-up)
Sub-Series 3: refining sound elements of sound production like intonation, clear tone, and adding vibrato and multiple tonguing patterns (level: intermediate or brush-up)
Sub-Series 4: tips on learning scales, practice techniques, and third register fingerings (level: internediate - advanced)
Play-along videos also include downloadable music in the show notes. These videos are designed for use during individual home practice and can also be utilized in the band classroom during flute sectionals. I'll keep adding new content as I can make it, so feel free to suggest topics in the comments below or by emailing me at nriner@uwyo.edu.
